A carpet, timeless story talking about refinement, experimentation, color, craftsmanship where the ancient wisdom meets contemporary times, geometries depicting symbolisms, animistic and shamanic suggestions. This is the vibrant core of new work by brilliant and eclectic designer Stephan Hamel which will feature in the opening of exhibition project “Zitanpixel”, curated by Francesca Alfano Miglietti of whose opening will be held on 9th November 2016 in Milan, at 7:00 pm at Nonostante Marras (awesome space joining and celebrating fashion, art and culture created by the renowned fashion designer Antonio Marras) and will be open to public through 9th January 2017. Color, color and more color, a leitmotiv of the work by Stephan finds a different context, the carpet, object used by gipsy people to feel themselves like being at home everywhere they are. The boho-gipsy elegance makes this object a fetish to have which also embodies an eloquent metaphor of humanity, successfully evoking the uniqueness and complexity of every single life, its texture, the core of color and signs that make it where geometries become the sedimentation of experiences as well as artisanal wisdom. A double reading, a dual path which is drawn by a not to be missed event to discover, find again and enjoy a way of being, making, creating and an object telling about the lifestyle of contemporary, nomadic globe-trotters.

Un tappeto, una storia senza tempo che parla di raffinatezza, sperimentazione, colore e artigianalità in cui la sapienza antica incontra la contemporaneità, geometrie che raffigurano simbolismi, suggestioni animistiche e sciamaniche. Questo il cuore vibrante del nuovo lavoro del brillante ed eclettico designer Stephan Hamel che sarà protagonista della opening del progetto espositivo “Zitanpixel”, curato da Francesca Alfano Miglietti la cui opening si terrà il 9 novembre 2016 alle ore 19:00 a Milano presso Nonostante Marras (meraviglioso spazio che unisce e celebra la moda, l’ arte e la cultura creato dal noto fashion designer Antonio Marras) e sarà aperto al pubblico fino al 9 gennaio 2017. Colore, colore e ancora colore, un leitmotiv dell’ opera di Stephan trova un nuovo contesto, il tappeto, oggetto usato dai gitani per sentirsi a casa ovunque siano. L’ eleganza boho-gipsy rende quest’ oggetto un feticcio da avere che peraltro racchiude in sé una eloquente metafora dell’ umanità, evocandone felicemente l’ unicità e la complessità di ogni vita, della sua trama, del nucleo di colore e segni di cui si compone in cui le geometrie diventano sedimentazione di esperienze nonché di saggezza artigianale. Una doppia lettura, un percorso dualistico disegnato da un evento imperdibile per scoprire, ritrovare e apprezzare un modo di essere, fare,creare e un oggetto che racconta il lifestyle dei globe-trotter nomadici contemporanei.
